Unmetered Hosting Providers

Hello Guys

Now Days I am seriously looking for Unmetered Bandwidth Plans, Currently I am using ServerMatrix 20 mbps Unmetered and satisfy with there service but they don’t have more Bandwidth available at this time.

After so many searches on WHT I make a list of some Hosts but still confuse about there service.

Please give your comments about hosts list below and also if you know any Good Unmeterd Provider please mention link here.

LayeredTech
OrangeFiber
Hivelocity
RackDept ( DimeNoc )
TMS
VoxRox

If you make a more detailed list of your requirements, including hardware, bandwidth, software, etc...people can probably make some recommendations.

The other thing is what do you mean by unmetered 20mbps. I get that you have that with someone (the planet) but how is that worked out. You get a port thats caped at 20mbps?
I can list 100's of providers that do 10mbps and 100mbps unmetered ports off their switches. and a few that do GIGE unmetered but dont exactly get the 20mbps unmetered deal.
95th or cap at 20mbps?

Be careful that some providers will offer unlimited bandwidth on 100MB connections but in fact its shared in particular on the cogent network.

Yea your Right 20 Mbps unmtered means Providers Cap my Port to 20 Mbps Dedicated Port , instead of 100 Mbps shared port.

yea i am also searching Dedicated 20 Mbps not shared ,

Congent is not issue i think , i am currently using Congent on ServerMatrix Unmeterd and i dont have any issue from last 4 month , its work gr8.

You need to worry more about if the network is managed well and if it is oversubscribed at the provider than if it is using Cogent or not.

Very true. Peering is also a consideration that can greatly increase the quality of 'Cogent-Only' connections.

I would check all potential vendors' peering capacity/capability and infrastructure.

Best,
Sam

Agreed, if the provider has other carriers, other than Cogent, then it's that much better. It's never good to be single homed.
