SonataWeb - Need reviews and feedback

I am considering them for a Reseller account and was wondering if any of the members here have had positive or negative experiences with SonataWeb.net. In searching the forum, I have come across a few issues that they this summer but they may have been prior to their move to GNAX(?) and maybe even when the company had a different owner. Apart from that, I have seen many positive comments (though the majority happen to be from one user) and would like to get a more diverse sample.

Thanks in advance.

If you search the forums, you`ll find some reviews. I`ve seen nothing but good reports about them. Terry (owner or co-owner) is also a very friendly and helpful member here.

I had an account with them for about four months, and cannot fault them for anything.

The reviews you linked to are both overly positive aren't they? Admittingly, we've had our ups, we've had our downs. In the past 16 months we've gone from being a host that was hosting such a miniscule amount of accounts that no one would even recognize us, to hosting several thousand. We're of course going to have troubles along the way. In June we decided to begin colocating our servers, which caused some confusion among staff, amongst our userbase, and I attribute most of that to the problems and negative experiences that some had. Since then things have settled down, and I think the quality of our hosting is at a all time high. I'm sure many of our users will agree with that.

Yes, I'm watching this thread like a hawk. You know how those birds never let their babies out of sight.

Thanks alot folks. This is a critical time of year for many webmasters so changing webhosts is an important decision. Having read Terry's posts here, on his forum and reading is answers to some questions I have asked, these guys are certainly on my shortlist.

Hi eldawg.....I've had a reseller account with SonataWeb for 7 months now and I'm quite happy with their services. Terry and staff seem to work hard at keeping their servers fast and secure. For me, support usually answers within an hour. At this point, I'm sure I'll be staying with SonataWeb for a long time

I just signed up with them yesterday. So far, so good. Their support is pretty quick and their uptime seems good. Hopefully it stays this way.

Have you seen their current special?

You can't beat that, plus a 30 day money back guarantee. Its at least worth giving SonataWeb a try.

Really? Did you actually searched the WHT to make this comment or just like that posted something to show your presence. I was able to find following reviews on sonataweb:

What? You say they are not very good reviews. I saw following on the site (hope my eyes are good and they don't require further lens):

it will be great if SonataWeb offer real 24/7 live chat support

I've been with Sonataweb for nearly a year now.

The support has always been great, even with fast response on christmas morning.

I have had occasion to use support a couple of times for minor things, and they have been fixed quickly.

The only major problem I did have was when they changed to a different version of some software (can't remember what it was now) that 'broke' a lot of my scripts, but they manually fixed them all for me very quickly once I reported a problem.

I've had some bad times with hosting companies, hell, my previous two hosting companies seemed to die miserably(Glexicon and Pixiehost), and then I came to sonataweb. I've had the account for probably half a year now, and have had no problems with them at all.

I've sent in one support ticket so far, and the response time was super fast. Also, I can get 5 MB/s downloads from my site hosted on their PearlJam server to my connection where I live, which is always a very nice thing.

I'd definitely recommend them, although they don't offer shell access :\

Chat support is pretty inefficient and isn't really necessary when you offer 24/7 support. If you have an issue where you need to speak to someone ASAP (Though our helpdesk is pretty fast with the two new faces that we just hired to man it) you can give us a call at 1-888-533-2583.

Actually, we recently changed our shell access policy. Simply file a helpdesk ticket with a copy of your government issued identification, and we would be more than happy to enable shell access on your account.
