    * Domain reseller

    Hello,

I am looking for a registrator who offers reseller domain accounts because I need it for my new hosting bussines. I would like to sell on behalf of my own brand, as is normal...

I have found www.bulkdomains.com and it seems to be fine, anyway I want to read your opinions and suggestions.

    Regards.

I'd have to suggest eNom, they are really great and the API works wonderfully.

$75 initial fee @ directi.com. Pricing is only $6.99/year for domains.

I am a reseller myself, and their API is brilliant.
It's a bit complicated, but once you've made your site around it your sorted.
API is in Perl, PHP, Java and loads of others.

How long did it take you to setup, if you don't mind me asking?

The reseller account took about 30 minutes to setup itself.

As for the API, a basic one you could probabally knock up in a couple of hours, if you read the docs.

They provide you with all the php/perl scripts you need, and they are treated as modules.
After that, its just as simple as doing something like
    $result=adddomain($name,$customer) etc etc

It took me about 4 weeks to do everything, but that was integrated into the whole site, so most of that time was the site itself.

    Also note that I think the $75 @ directi isn't a fee- it's a initial deposit.
You can register domains with it i think.

    Some doubts

-Has their control panel software different levels for admin and clients?, I mean, to offer your clients their own control panel where they can modify and control all about their domains?

-Can you setup your own prices on their api?

-Is this company reliable?, how many time are you reselling from their for?

    Regards.

    i am using directi too

    http://domain.cyberturk.org

it is giving clients to their own panel. Admin panel is different from them. You are ability to manage them and sub-resellers.

Yes you can set your own prices.

i am with them April 2005. But directi is a reliable company.
    Kind regards

Yes, there are different levels of access.
You have an admin account, and then there is a clients panel.
Personally, i prefer to make my own so its integrated with my system.
Your prices have nothing to do with API- you charge them using your own system, then submit the registration to DirectI- directI will charge you $6.99 (less in bulk).

The company is reliable. I've been using them for about 1 and a half years.
They are a top level registrar- they're not a reseller.
The reason you probabally havn't heard of them is because they are an indian company, and don't tend to sell to the public. Its just proof that their reseller system is so good- you can't tell its them.
They've got over 1/2 million domains to their name:
    http://www.webhosting.info/registrar...INREGISTRY.COM
(public domain registry is the name they now use so you can't tell it's DirectI).
You may think that because it's now PUBLICDOMAINREGISTRY that DirectI are just another reseller for this registry, but up until a month or two again, it was whois.directi.com etc etc, and they were listed as DirectI. They've changed so its better for their resellers.

Just a quick thing to point out too.
Webhosting.info, which no doubt you've used, is actually owned and operated by DirectI

Nice information , I am thinking seriously in working with them, they have very affordable prices and seems to be profesional.

Anybody could confirm about the setup fee?, I mean, if is also a deposit or if in only an initial fee.

    Regards and thanks.
