ModernBill and H-Sphere - Manage domain?

This question is for both ModernBill and H-Sphere's billing system. Once a customer registers a domain through one of these systems, how does the customer manage the domain? Meaning how do they set name servers or change contact info, etc?

    Thanks,

    Neofree

I use a Hsphere and from my experience it is pretty simple. Hshere provides signup links once your Hosting plans are set making it easy to automate the setup both the user and the domain name.

In addition the user/ admin can amend their details through their own Hsphere control panel

Another note about Hsphere also manages your billing whoever is your payment processor

    Greetings NeoFree:

When a customer registers a domain name through H-Sphere, they get to fill out all registration details within H-Sphere.

Depdening on the registrar, from that point on changes of registrartion information are handled by the registrar (i.e. https://manage.opensrs.net/ ).

Recurring billing is handled by H-Sphere.

Of note, H-Sphere allows a lot to be done via API as does OpenSRS; so I'm sure something can be written to allow more functionality in the domain name information management area.

However, after being in business ten years, we see customers make changes to their domain name registration information about once every four or five years.

We don't see it even as a yearly task by customers.

    Thank you.

It's pretty easy to manage the domain names in Modernbill. You can take a look at the screenshot http://www.dotnetmart.com/Support.ph...2&root=4&id=65.

While I understand your point, I still dont like them going to a competitors site to manage their domain. (eNom sells hosting too)

    Greetings NeoFree:

https://manage.opensrs.net/ mentions zero about selling hosting. I cannot speak for eNom's management interface.

What I do know is that if a customer buys from you compared to some one else, they have a reason. And if they leave over price because they need to make a changes to their domain name contact information (from our experience, and extremely rare event to change domain name contact information), then the selling process should be re-evaluated (my opinion only).

    Thank you.

OpenSRS is too expensive. eNom provides a great service, I just wish they wouldnt sell direct.

Not wanting to take this too far off topic, but enom does provide a reseller interface option. Registry Rocket allows you to use a branded (although limited), vanilla interface for both administrating and signing up domains. You can even set up domain forwarding so that you can use access.yourdomain.com for the url.

Plus if you use AWBS you can totally brand the site and change the look and feel.
