What sort of thing are you looking to do (how big)? What's your budget, what's your current experience. It's a fairly open question and it's hard for someone to just come along and tell you everything thats needed!

Colocate or get rack space. Your not building a datacenter for £5000.

To be honest, £5000 isn't going to build you much of a data center. There are SO MANY variables, expensive ones, that you have to take into consideration and £5000 is just not going to cover it.

You're better off spending that £5000 on colocating the 20 servers...

The pricing is still pretty variable, if they are 1u servers you can get 20 in 1/2 rack, if they are 2u you'll need a whole rack... Your best bet is to do a search of the colocation forum on data centers in the UK.

Not sure I understand the question. You have been hosting for 'sometime' now but don't know where to buy bandwidth?

Try contacting www.goscomb.co.uk and www.ikcs.net for some transit.

There is no harm in learning from other people experiences. We know where to buy bandwidth obviosly but It does not mean that what we know is good.

We have not stolen any testimonials and we are a fair and honest company.
Regarding the 1000 customers of WSFEB. These are old customers of our hosting company which was run by another name and we have transfered them to out new servers rescently.
Please Can you tell us the site whcih has same testimonials as our website.

Google matches both of the testimonials on your front page to a site called webhosting.uk.com, which attributes them to other people. Either you've ripped it from them or they've ripped it from you.

This is one of the oddest threads I've read in recent times. If you were serious about building a data centre, surely you'd realise that land alone costs hundreds of thousands of pounds in even the cheapest of areas in the UK? To build an entirely new data centre would run into millions...

We are not planning anything big. Just 10 to 20 servers to expand our business.
We are trying to hire a place rather than buying it.
    Thanks for your advice.

That would make sense (to a newbie) if that was all that was stolen and the only company you stole from.

BTW, you failed to answer the question about the previous name of your "company"

Maybe you should not have made the claim if you were not prepared to answer inquiries about it. Your fear to answer the posters simple question(which you brought up) and the childish remark in regards to my own site speaks volumes.

Whish questions we did not answer. You are accusing us for stealing testimonials from other sites and this is not true.
So there is nothing to discuss.
Our message was simply to hear anything about building a cheap and basic data centre and you twisted the issue.
And because of our business interests we dont want to tell the previous name of this business, which in our view in totally fair.

    Thanks
