    The promo code I had expired, if you do have a current one then please post or pm. I tried to go through and I was going to be charged $7.99, there must be something cheaper around for transfers?

    FLY6PROMO

    Althought I do NOT encourage you to use RegisterFly, but you can always check their current specials at http://theflypaper.com - as dmaven suggested.

    ok thanks, it says on theflypaper there is a 24 hour promotion with FLY6PROMO as well but when i try it I get the following

    Your Transfer code was either invalid or has expired.
    Please hit the back button and try again.

    Well, the last issue of theflypaper is dated November 29th 2005, so either (I am yet to figure out how their promotional codes work):

    - you have already used this code more than 24 hours ago;
    - more 24 hours have passed since November 29th and code has expired.

    I use this my chance to warn you for the last time - you are NOT advised to use RegisterFly! Search these forums before making any decisions.

    Anyway, I wish you the best of luck!

    Thank you everybody for the response. I want to pay less than $5.00/domain/year for 5-10 years contract. Thanks!

    dmaven is right. Registrars pay $6 to registry (in .com case) and $0.25 to ICANN. It equals 6.25/yr. Anybody selling cheaper than that is doing this for a loss with all consequences.

    Good luck searching though!

    I am sure if you buy hosting or some other product they will let you transfer under $5.00

    But the OP wants 10-years contract, as I understand. I doubt that hosting should be included there... Anyway, who would like to have a 10-years hosting contract anyway?

    It was stated as a joke, the short answer is I doubt they will find ANY company willing to lose that much money on a single domain name

    So the cheapest I have for .info transfer then is $7.99 from RegisterFly. At that rate I might as well pay the $8.99 from the current register "MyDomain.com" unless anyone knows of another?

    Don't know about the other services mentioned, but yahoo EXPLICITLY does NOT allow transferring-in.

    ipower.com is for new domains only from what I could see, nice price though & will consider them for new domains to compete with yahoo

    Well if Yahoo doens't allow transfers either then back to square one. I might just re-register the ones I really want and let the rest expire.

    1. This price is for new registrations only, as I understand;
    2. Search this forum BEFORE posting this kind of questions;
    3. You get what you pay for; cheap meat is for the dogs; etc etc etc.
