    Anyone else seeing this?

Ok, over the past couple of days my connection to WHT has just been incredibly poor. Last night, for a good half hour or so, I was fighting just to get one thread loaded, and I've already seen 3 or 4 timeouts this morning.

Everything else is loading fine for me, so it's (probably) not my connection. Anyone else noticing extra delays, lag, etc the past couple days?

Yes, especially this morning. I had lots of timeouts, etc, so I'm guessing they were having "issues" which curently seem repaired.

Been getting long loading times and timeouts since yesterday, to load this thread took 14.984 seconds alone (wasnt amazingly fast before either).

The post quick reply is actually currently taking over a minute to work.

Yeah, I've been having minor downtime issues for the last month or so, and it's really slow today, again from the UK.

Seems to have picked up a bit now, the last few hours have been painfully slow, with timeouts too. Good time for Aussies to sleep

Been running on fumes all day today, in particular. However, I have noticed a number of sporadic slowness issues over the past couple months.

It's so slow for me here that it's just about useless! If this post goes through at all, it will take more than a minute and I'm on broadband.

    It's doubleclick.net

    Its' all the doubleclick.net stuff

They're got lame NS for the subdomain that the ads are served from. It's making coming to this site [almost] unbearable. Can you take them down temporily?

Dispite the fact that I'm on broadband, it takes more than 22 sec for a page to show up. This blue background is breaking my nerves!
And I'm welcomed with more then three javascript error dialog boxes everytime I visit WHT. This was not the case before.
I think I need some time off from this forum.

Lets see if this post makes it all the way through this sloooooow connection.

The trouble is the new owners are probably quite conscientious, and are trying to save there investors money, but when they go home of a night they really do have to learn to leave the server running

In that case it's the mods fault.

Obviously there is to many member online, now if the mods were to ban more members that would solve all the problems.

I won't even try and break down how incorrect those statements are.

But, I'm glad to see WHT back on her 2 (or is it 4 ) legs

Yep, I realized that as well. I was thinking it is something to do with my ISP as I did not see anyone discussing about it. I guess I was not the only one.

    hope it gets resolved soon.

I've got another theory why this is happening. Inet is on a capped bandwidth and once they reach there cap in any 24hr period then the speed is throtttled back for the remainder of that period. Now as the periods vary from country to country some members are experiencing problems while other aren't. Be assure this is evenly spread across the whole universal time zones so everybody can be guaranteed they will get a there turn.

Let's hope the new INET owners aren't stuffing around with the rackspace setup. Access to WHT has been very patchy here. heh. I'll give it a few days. Let me know when it's fixed. I'm off.

Then why is it that 90% of all vbb 3.5 sites im on freeze alot, are slow,lag,etc.......

Im not mad @ you Tyler, please dont think im angry with anyone here mate,if anyone,i should be mad @ the VBB people for making 3.5 MORE DEMANDING/RAM INTENSIVE!!!

Oh well..........(Still a couple sites im on running VB2.3.3 and its wonderfull, they sail thru!!!!!!!!!!) Even a few im on running 3.0.9 are good

But no,i dont want anyone @ wht here to think im angry w/them!!

    God bless

Yes it isnt slow, etc 100% of the time, but if 3.5 IS MORE DEMANDING/RAM INTENSIVE like i have been told, there isnt a thing INET can do about it (Except go back to 3.0.3 (or back to our original 2.3.5) which would be awesome!!) Complain to the VBB people, thats who ya gotta get your thoughts across to,not inet!! (Who only RUNS the s/w)

I just found this thread and it is what I am experiencing right now, well not really right now but intermittent slowness and sometimes absolutely no response from the server whatsoever.

Maybe its time WHT upgrade their server.

I did post something like this, only the extra being did the new owners post any intro sort of post here as was done by Ryan&G.Murphy in the past, when they acquired this place. only requested if i missed something like that can i get a pointer there please .... and lo!!! my post removed!. a community forum moderated as highly as this with some attitude .. will have been limiting itself.

    just my 2..whatever...

[dont know if this also gets the same stick...lol ]
