    Can't connect to the internet.

Hello, I have just bought a dedicated server located in China. It is currently running on Fedora Core. I connected to the computer via ssh and tried doing the following test.
    # wget http://members.dslextreme.com/users/...1.0-wht.tar.gz
    # gunzip -dvc unixbench-4.1.0-wht.tar.gz | tar xvf -
    # cd unixbench-4.1.0-wht
    # make
    # ./Run

It could not connect to the host, then I created a new account for vnc, so I can virtually connect to the server. It had firefox and everything else installed. So I went on firefox and tried accessing http://www.google.com and it couldn't connect. Does anyone know what I can do to fix the problem. This is my frist time running a linux server, I really want to learn more about it.

Yup, China blocked google and some other websites which it thinks is bad for the country.

Actually if you need global access, a server from outside China would be most appropriate.

But I cannot access any sites. When I tried to e-mail customer service, my e-mail bounced back. I didn't know where else to find help. If anyone knows how to un-block ports, or what is causing the problem, it would be much appreciated.

This is incorrect. Google is not blocked from China.

Please do not mislead other people.
    Thanks.
