What kind of customers do you have?

What is reseller hosting?
Reseller hosting is very similar to shared hosting. Reseller hosting takes place on a shared server. The difference between shared and reseller hosting is that with a reseller account, you can create shared hosting accounts. Depending on the host, you can create an unlimited number of shared users, but of course you cannot use more space and bandwidth than you are alloted. With reseller hosting, you can start your own web hosting business, give hosting away to friends, or make many accounts for yourself. Overselling can still be an issue with reseller hosting, because you still share the server with other resellers and shared hosting users. Reseller hosting usually costs a little more than shared hosting, starting at around $15-20.

I think the best solution for you is to get a reseller account ... you will pay a flat fee on monthly bases and you host as much websites as your space allows. this is the most profitable solution
try surpasshosting.com .. they are reliable and their prices are unbeatable ...
And try to ask them to allow overselling for you before you buy.. that will be so important

When you purchase a reseller plan you are allocated a certain amounts of space and bandwidth for the plan. When you create an account you allocate this bandwidth to the web site you are creating. So, if you have 100 MB of bandwidth and create ten web sites each allocated 10 MB of bandwidth you cannot create any more sites because you have used up all of your bandwidth allocation. even if you actually dont use it. You would have to upgrade to the next higher plan to receive more bandwidth allocation. and the same for space
on the other hand overselling feature make you able to add more and more websites as you will be bounded by you actuall usage.
BUT take care if you will oversell you have to monitor your resources and your customer usage so you dont face a setuation like waking up one day and discover you have ran out of space or bandwidth
you can oversell on Cpanel / WHM but i'm notsure about other hosting management systems

May I ask what language you develop these sites in? (ie do you require linux based or windows based hosting? or both?)
Do you have any special requirements with respect to your ecommerce solution?
How large are the sites you host? What type of audience do you target and ultimately, what sort of hosting can you afford? (ie are you looking for business grade hosting or budget hosting?)
Sorry for all the questions, but, these sorts of things need to be known before you start looking at providers

jcodemasters, even in my opinion, you would be better off with a good and reliable reseller hosting.. but be careful with the host you choose as a bad reseller host can ruin you entire business and image..
All the best!
