God's into web hosting?

Perhaps the Church needs to reconsider it's conservative stance

Hehehehehe @ Lawrence

FYI, I've just received a nice piece of spam from a certain host who has been banned from this forum for spamming - remember webh0stingmed1a.net?

I've forwarded the e-mail to Earthlink for them to investigate, so Sinichov/wuli, if you're reading, don't be surprised if your Internet access is suddenly cut off without warning.

I'm also going to take it a step further and inform Affinity Hosting of their spamming practices.

Add to the list of spammers hostmaster2000.com. They didn't include their URL in the spam, but when I wrote them and told them I was interested they gave it to me (search the web for their spam e-mail address to see the letter: djuw@ukmax.com).

careful with the anti spam stuff...

If you accuse someone of spam and it's ruled as not spam, you get hit very hard. It happened to me. People like you and me can get too caught up in the moment of anti spam stuff, and forget to look at all the facts. Just be careful.

That's quite true. But if you know what the precise definition of spam is, or at the very least the company has contravened someone's TOS then it's quite easy to go the next step and alert the providers as to the problems (as in this case).

Yahoo! has shut the e-mail account down (supposedly, though with the recent problems they're having I'll believe it when I see it); Earthlink has sent an auto-responder response. I'm writing that e-mail to Affinity now - I'll keep everyone informed...

Nearly as bad as spammers are palces that accuse you of being one, especially with never having checked. My main e-mail address is listed as a known spam source on a list at http://spam.webeasy.com:8080/spam/spam_download_table that I found through Google.com

Many of you know how much I detest spam (you have an inkling, anyway) and know I'm telling the truth when I say that I have never spammed anyone. Never. Not once. Never will.

I have notified the site twice and they have neither responded nor removed my address from that list. I advised them how e-mail addresses ar eforged and hijacked by spammers and included links to MAPS and another anti-spam, site where they could learn more.

Those cretins haven't done anything yet and are about to get an attorney letter on the subject. They are almost as big an (_O_) as spammers.

Be careful about undue accusations and show no mercy when the offense is genuine. I go spammed twice last week by firms hired by Pizza Hut and sent them a scathing notice to their corporate headquarters.

That's another company to boycott, Pizza Hut. They now serve spam on their pizzas, only its not the edible kind and it does leave a bad taste in your mouth.

It seems to be getting worse and worse. I get about 15-20 unsolicited emails per day. I add them to my email blocking list, but it doesn't matter because every new spam email comes from a different address. God I hate spam!!!!!!

Portland.co.uk sell users' info to make money from their free webhosting. I get the same spam mail many times a day, cos each of my domains which has an account with portland is spammed. (Portland forwards anything@yourdomain.com to your real email address)

I've been wondering about this for some time. Where can I get this? Do you accept credit cards?

Hell, I'd almost be willing to pay to get *only* 15-20 per day... my delete key is just about worn out.

I'm sure most people know about this, but it's worth posting here again: SpamCop.net is a fast and easy way to report and filter spam. I have a subscription there; the spam filter is great, and it doesn't just throw away mail (like most e-mail applications' filters), it hangs on to it and you can delete them en masse whenever you feel like it--all without clogging your inbox.
