HOw to make GD extension work


Hi, I have libgd.so under my server directory, However, GD doesnt show on the info.php..can anyone give me some idea how to fix it? to make GD enable?

You need to compile PHP with GD enabled. If I remember correctly it is ./configure --with-gd

hmmm you probably should add a few things as well

--with-gd \
--with-zlib-dir="/usr" \
--with-png-dir="/usr/local" \
--with-jpeg-dir="/usr/local" \
--enable-gd-native-ttf --with-freetype-dir=/usr \

if its compiled right and it dont show, the file is not being loaded, is missing from one of the configuration files.
