    Old WhoIS details?

A domain of mine expired some time ago and has been bought by some company, but looking at the whoIS, it still has my details? How is this still possible?

I can't think for other reason than old cached whois details. Dnsstuff.com is sometimes giving me 60+ days old results, for example. I just hit 'clear cache and update whois' - or whatever it's called.

It may be cached or the name is still in redemption or pending delete status

Well, it's a .org domain, expired about a month ago and has been renewed by someone else. How long does it take for the old cached registrar data to change?

Was it REALLY expired and dropped by the registry? Or, like dmaven suggested, is was reddemption or pendeingdelete status (how it was re-registered by somebody else then?).
