DeuceAce.com Poker site Custom vBulletin design
Hey,
I am looking for some feedback on the new custom skin on www.DeuceAce.com
The skin is still undergoing coding and small design changes so hoping to get some good feedback while it's still being worked on.
There are a few images that need the background changed to fit the new gradients but that will be done very soon
Thanks

Looks nice and clean, a bit much white for me, if there was a way to make the bars in the forum proportioned equal to the white bars in the header or a bit smaller it may look better IMHO. Perhaps shorten the little "Ace Card" icons in each row? All and all nice site!

Hey Scot,
By the white bars, do you mean the rows on the homepage with the name of each forum?
Thanks for the feedback.

Yea, the actual hieght of the forum section rows. I could be wrong though... might look worse when shorten; but that was just something that jumped out at me.

No problem, had another look and the cards are a bit big.
It might be just that there is no description in it though, a description would fill up that white space, just like on WHT for example

Ok just did some updates.
I removed some forums (One will be invisible to the public soon).
Descriptions added, really helps fill up the white space.
I am starting to get the posts going, just getting some people to help fill it a bit before I go live with it.
Thanks for the comments on the skin, still doing quite a lot of work on making it even more custom and fixing a few problems with images.
Thanks again
John

I have made a lot of improvements, looking for some more feedback
I have attached a screenshot of a white background instead of the black, could you take a look and let me know which you think looks best?
Let me know if you have to signup to view it and I will put it somewhere else so you dont have to.

Good job, John.
The text in your legend and in the footer are very difficult to read on the black bg.
Nope, can't see your white bg screenshot without registering.
BTW, I am very impressed with your collection of articles. Did you write them all? I enjoyed reading a few of them and will be back to read more.

Hey Vito
I was talking to vB support about the problem with the text, they have the one CSS class that is used in a lot of places.
It was on top of both light and dark backgrounds I have so I have to create a new class for the text and just edit the templates.
Should have that finished today.
You can view the black background here and the white here.
No I didn't write all the articles, I am getting unique articles written and they will be going up on a regular basis
Thanks Vito

I personally like the white better, but then again, I've never been a huge fan of "dark" sites.

Thanks Vito, added your vote to the poll
I really don't mind which is used so I wanted to see what other people think and I will go with that.
