Exclamation Server download and upload speed

Hi, i have 2 dedicated server which located in the same hosting company, one is the old one which i already use it for 1 years and the other one is the new one i just move my website from the old one to the new one and facing the speed problem.
After move to the new server customer start to compain their download speed is so slow. (we have over 100gb file for customer to download, the bandwidth is 1000gb/month)

When i try to complain to the hosting support they said there is no problem with the network.

the download speed is around 10kb/s only

Since they said is not their problem is there any possibility cause by configuration or setting? mayb apache setting or any other server setting will cause the speed to be slow?

Well are u sure u got 100mbit port , and do u have firewall installed as some can cap the speeds also, plus another reason could be that there is a bad router inplace to the server so if u have a test file around 28 mb let me know i will try to test if i get slow speeds also . Pm me if u dont want to get bw drained or something.

What is the interface duplex set to? Does it match the switch's setting for your port?

I got ~180KB/s at first then dropped down to ~70KB/s.

As to where the server is, the IP block belongs to WebHostPlus which is in NJ, and it's bandwidth carriers are HE and RoadRunner according to it's AS Paths.

I see a jump on the traceroute at this hop:

    9 46 ms 45 ms 45 ms pos6-0.gsr12012.sjc.he.net [64.62.133.17]
    0 91 ms 91 ms 91 ms pos2-0.gsr12416.nyc.he.net [216.218.254.154]

About 300KB/s from Florida, on a 10Mbit connection that regurlarly gets 700-800KB/s from other East Coast locations.

If you do a traceroute to both servers, do you get the same path ? Some web hosting companies do not have their own datacenter and may resell for several different companies.

    Hi, Thanks for the help!
This forum is great, just woke up and see so many people are trying to help me.

Yeah the server is in US.

After Paidhosting told me it might be routing problem, i email them asking them to check the router, port and the path and this morning when i test on the download from another co-location server in US the speed has been increase from 200kb/s to 500kb/s.

Although there is a improvement but i think still slow, by right it should be reach at least 1mb/s. I have another server in webhostplus, when i try to download a file from that server the speed is around 3mb/s, but that server traffic is quite empty, where as the server on the link posted simultenously there is client downloading file, but i expect there should be at least 1mb/s.

Can you suggest how can i complain them upon this issue? or what should i ask them to do on this?
