Pointing a domain to a subdirectory in Cpanel

I'm using CPanel X and I just purchased a domain name, just to point to my blog (a wordpress blog) contained in my webspace. The blog is located within mysubdomain.myhost.com/blog . I'd love for the domain that i just purchased to now be that blog. What I don't want is just simple forwarding, where once i enter the name is just points the browser to that subdirectory (where the browser shows mysubdomain.myhost.com/blog rather than mynewdomain.com/ ) I also was hoping that all files within that subdirectory would be addressed as mynewdomain.com/file.jpg rather than mysubdomain.myhost.com/file.jpg . If anyone could offer me any assistance it'd be great appreciated. Thanks a ton!
