We don't have any plans at this point to do a HostingCon in the UK or anywhere else outside the US. That may change, but at this point, we're sticking with one per year here in the US.

Well i would love to go to HostingCon, but flying to USA just to see it would cost too much. If i had the money, i would deff go.

I have heard of plans for a European HostingCon, organised by a WHT member, although I cannot remember who it was who was supposedly organising it. IIRC, Amsterdam was looking the likely venue.

I think a London based hostingcon would be a fantastic idea - I'd get to write off a trip back to visit home...

Sounds like an alright idea for us Brits, but... If it's going to be in Europe shouldn't it be somewhere which is accessible for all?...Nah, London will do. Or hell go for London#2. Otherwise known as Birmingham.

I haven't heard, but someone may be planning something for Europe, but it would not be a "HostingCon" unless we produce it.
That being said, we have looked at doing a HostingCon in Europe but we do not have any plans yet at this point.

I best there would be more than a few people up for that, including me. Maybe I will just save all my pennies this year and get a fligh to the USA for this years - looking at all the photos from last year it looks like a worth while expericence and there are a few people I would like to meet face to face.

What are you talking about ?
Anyway there is already an equivalent in the UK and has been for the last 6 years - Internet World, which largely each year degenerates into ISPs meeting up looking at a few stands, and ending up in O'Neals enjoying large amounts of alcohol...

While I'm sure there are some good networking opportunities at Internet World, from what I can see on their website, this looks like a completely different type of show than HostingCon. Internet World seems like it's targeted towards people who need internet-related services who work for businesses and such to be attendees.
HostingCon is targeted at hosts themselves to be attendees. The conference program and exhibit hall are all geared towards those in the hosting business. It looks like hosts would probably be exhibitors (or maybe attendees to check out the competition, etc.) at Internet World.
