    * MySQL Childern anyway to limit the num of these?

    Hi, Ive just google'd how to limit the number of childern mysql opens when it stats but I cant seem to find it, I think I saw a while back that for every httpd child a mysql child is created?

    does anyone know a way to limit the number started?

    It starts with 3 threads, and creates one for each connected client. You can disable persistent connections in PHP to reduce the number of connections to MySQL. The threads are pretty small though, so any memory issues you're having are more likely from all the Apache children, not so much MySQL.

    I kinda figured that, I just seem to have 10 mysql children running at once, but they dont seem to be doing anything..
