Best place to get a 1-800 # in canada ?

Ive been looking to get a 1800 number in canada but I wanted your opinion on which is the best and most trusted place for your money. The system i want is quite simple. I want the 1800# to go to an answer machine which my clients could leave me a message which i would be emailed. Then from there i can call them back.

any sugggestions ?

I use Sprint for 800 numbers, but not sure you can get that too. However if you just one 1 number than why not try Vonage? it is cheap and good. As with Vonage you can setup a feature where you will receive email notification and also ability to actually recieve the message by email which others leave for you.

Hope this helps.

Maybe you can check out Vonage for their Canadian rates.

Get Vonage. I think calls to Canada are free, and probably from canada to us are free

I didn't think Vonage offers 1800 numbers for their Canadian clients...

I am having vonage and have tried their 800 service. It took about 5 minutes for it to start working and didn't had any problems.

I get tons and tons of features on the phone line and "unlimited" calling to USA & Canada (I think they also have mexico, but never used it). In addition what I loved is their voicemail feature. If someone calls you and leaves a message, you have a choice where vonage will actually email you the voicemail via email and you can listen it or store it forever on your computer (trust me.. it can be very useful for certain calls).

In addition, vonage has great international rates and best of all, if you travel anywhere (in the "world") you can just take your vonage adaptor with you and plug it to "any" high speed connection (I think vonage needs about 90kb to work) and you can still get unlimited calling to usa and canada for free.

Best way to figure out if vonage will give you 800# in canada or not, is by calling them, here is there toll free # 1-866-243-4357

Hope this helps.

Vonage does not provide 1800 numbers in Canada.

My wife has been using kall8.com for her business, and it has been working out great! The service will just route your call to whatever number you want, meaning you can easily change location/phone numbers without any problems. I would imagine the service would work with Canada, but not 100% sure.

Good luck!
Dave

They are amazing. Their long distance is amazingly cheap, AND the toll free number is free (i.e. no setup).
