    You should really be familiar with the flavor of *nix you decide to install this onto before performing this. I.E. Bind, Qmail, ssh, etc. before you jump in. You should be able to find most of your answers here however.

    If you are gonna do this on a remote server, you are gonna need ssh setup first.

    One of the nice things about the new version of webmin if it does not see that you have a module installed it will show you a link and give you the option to download and install automatically for you.

    I tried that but got the error:
    Error
    Access denied : User admin is not allowed to use the Software Packages module

    I just used the defaults for everything and am doing it on a fresh install of CentOS 4.1.

    How do I fix that error?

    i had this problem and searched for many days to find the answer, and here you go:

    This problem occurs because Webmin has not identified CentOS properly. To fix it, remove Webmin and install version 1.244 or later from
