    virtuozzo software update

I have a VPS using virtuozzo technology with fedora core 2. Gradually I am finding most of the software packages are getting old and yum repository for core 2 is not getting updated. My provider told me it's not possible to upgrade to core 3 or core 4. What should I do? switch to debian? I am trying to avoid have to manually download all the rpms/source to update software.

You should be using CentOS in that case, as you can easily update most packages using yum, after you install the RPM and the GPG key.

FC3/FC4 is not available for VZ 2.6. This will change with the new release of VZ Linux, which would be released in a relatively short time.
