    Best domain auction site

Can someone recommend a good Domain auction site, I have a few domains I want to auction off. I am using them but few I am closing down and the rest I am not going to use for a couple of years and would like to lease out if possible.
If you are recommending please also indicate if you have used their services.
    Thank You.

Sedo may be popular, but has anyone sold anything?

They have a list of recent sales right on their home page.

I have used GoDaddy's TDNAM service and was not at all impressed. I had about twenty domains for sale in many different categories, and for many of them I had upgraded to the top premium positions. Not a single one ever sold.

thekia, if you wish to auction off domain names, I would recommend eBay. Perhaps surprisingly, I have had alot of success with domain names there.

You said you've had a lot of success at e-bay. Approximately when was this, i.e renctly or a long time ago and did you realize your price?
    Thanks

Oh, yes. That was indeed recently - a few weeks ago - and I did indeed make near what I wanted. Remember that unless you have a killer domain name, you won't make too much more than mid-XX's to low XXX's, which is what I pulled. Good luck with your auction, whomever you choose!

you could be right - imo, you have just as much chance of selling your site/domain name by putting up a message in the back of your car window and driving around on you daily business, or park somewhere where there is heavy traffi and hopefully someone will link to your name later and buy

thekia, I look forward to the result.

Can you tell me what names you are selling and I will predict a price?

I have tried almost every auction sites including Ebay, Sedo, and TDNAM. What I ended up at all of them was loss of money. I figured out later that the important thing is not list your domain in those famous places but to make people see that your domain name is for sale.

I am now listing all my domain names at sell.your.name for free of charge. Parking is also free. I have parked my domain do.main.name there and when someone types my link or clicks on it, the visitor is directed to my auction page.

I recommend listing all your domains at sell.your.name for free. You have nothing to lose but at least by parking them you can also track how many visitors visited your domain name.

    Best

Yes I like the DNJournal as a reference for one great reason they show who which company is selling the higher priced domain names but you can use that same information to see who, which domain name selling operator is making the most sells, then go and place your domain names for sale there. It worked well for us.

Note I do not like selling domain names we have been lucky to acquire.

I sold one on sedo.com a few months ago. I've found it useful for higher-priced domains.

Looking for a good $XXX range site.

Sedo, Afternic etc are only good for high quality domains. It really depends on the quality of the domains you are selling. If they are of low quality try selling on forums.

Also i found flippa.com useful for selling medium and high quality domains

godaddy auction and sedo lead the larger market of selling domain in auction .
