    Moving Plesk accounts

    Hi all,

Is it possible to "move" a Plesk reseller account to another machine/provider? Sort of like how it's possible with Cpanel?

Yes, it sure is - but you need root on both machines

Hello mripguru, do you by any chance know any documentation regarding this?

I am interested in this as well.

Dediwebhost.com - are you looking for the official documentation on this?

    http://download1.swsoft.com/Plesk/Pl...html/ch06.html

As mrripguru stated, you will need root access to use this function.

I would also recommend poking into Sw-Soft's forums if you have a particular questions - though some of the posters there are also here, they may be able to give you some specifics on Plesk to Plesk migrations using the PMM.

    :-) Hope it helps.

You could use the built in migration tool, but sometimes it doesn't work that fine.

I've actually migrated a cPanel box to a Plesk box via the PMM - worked fine, same for another Plesk to Plesk migration.

Edit: This post makes my 1000th post - hooray!
