IMO PR has no value, The site does. But I'm sure if a site has a PR of 10 tells me it is traffic worthy in which brings value.

MySpace.com is PR7 and sold for $500m. Chances are if a site is PR10 it's worth big bucks.

True, but the chances of having a PR10 site with no members or content is pretty slim. Offhand the only two PR10s I can think of are phpBB and Google.
Edit: phpBB is back to a 9..

so out of interest, what would stop you forwarding a domain name to a site which did have a high PR rating, and over time get its rating up?

So to get PR10 you would need AT LEAST ~258000 (google) backlinks. Theres more to that from what I read though. Not any backlink will work or help your PR, you have to take content of linking site into consideration to your content. This is just what I have read elsewhere and I reserve the right to be wrongLast edited by rileez; 11-05-2005 at 05:47 PM.

It's funny how often people put a link to Google on their site for no real reason. Either way, 325m links to one site is impressive.

I don't think PR will reset if owner's contact has changed. What I have heard is the PR will reset after the domain is expired and registered again.
