    Steam Down?

Any other HL fans having a problem connecting to Steam? I don't want to turn this into a huge thread, I just want some verification to make sure it's not just me

And yes, I know we have: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?f=59 but this is somewhat different.

    Thanks everyone.

Don't reinstall just yet. It could be a bad connection from your computer to the Steam Content Servers.

    Give it a while.

    LOL.

I went to get my dedicated online (I colo'd it) and the harddrive fails. I give them the money for a new one, and my internet gets whiped out by a thunderstorm. It was a horrible night.

    [Not tonight]

It ended being a router setting. It was just odd because it worked for almost 1.5 years without a problem

Steam Down (or Steamdown, I don’t remember) is a Russian program—illegal, of course—that allows one to play Steam games without a license key. It’s very illegal, but I guess Valve can’t do too much about it, considering the site is in Russia.

You still need internet access to verify your game though?

first time ive heard of it. and ive been using steam for a while. to be honest its not worth the risk trying. cause steam ban ur IP.

I wouldnt know cause ive always had internet access to play but i do know there is a way to play without being online

EDIT: after 5 secounds of googling I found it.

to play games using XXXX (I have stared it out so the mods cant accuse me of talking about it) you need to use your main account but run the risk of getting it banned
......so whats the point using this if u cant use the other account u created lmao. stupid system lmao.
