    Zend optimizer not working

    Hi,

A quick question, I've installed Zend Optimizer using the instructions here: http://www.howtoforge.com/linux_apac..._ioncubeloader - when I do a php -v I get this:
    ----------------
    PHP 4.3.9 (cgi) (built: Oct 20 2004 14:52:04)
Copyright (c) 1997-2004 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v1.3.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2004 Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader v3.0.8, Copyright (c) 2002-2005, by ionCube Ltd., and
with Zend Optimizer v2.5.7, Copyright (c) 1998-2004, by Zend Technologies
    -----------------
All looks good, but my phpinfo script here: http://217.199.191.70/phpini.php is not showing the Zend optimizer.

Any ideas why this might be?

    Kind regards
    Lar

Check the path where "ZendOptimizer.so" is present on your server and then add the following to your /etc/php.ini (as this is active php.ini as per your phpinfo) :

    ;zend_optimizer.optimization_level=15
    ;zend_extension="path to ZendOptimizer.so"

    For eg :

    ;zend_optimizer.optimization_level=15
    ;zend_extension="/usr/local/Zend/lib/ZendOptimizer.so"

Be sure to restart your apache after making the above changes.

check the php compile options via the phpinfo() function, if --enable-versioning is used, then eitehr recompile without that, or use version 2.5.7
