    Question Fireworks night?

    Hey everyone,

Does anyone here celebrate this holiday? I was supposed to be going to a display but unfortunatly it's been cancelled this year as they're re-building the racetrack it's hosted it on.

I'll probably buy some sparklers or something lol.

So are you going to be celebrating fireworks night?

It's a British holiday, justadollarhostin. It is to celebrate the night when Guy Fawkes and his men were caught attempting to blow up Westminster and kill the King. All us Brits attend large bonfires, with fantastic fireworks displays, or, like myself, have our own. I have four, 5ft 4inch rockets, and two 30 piece multi-boxes of fireworks to set off tonight, as well as a beautiful home-made curry to eat.

There was a very good firework display at Heaton Park after the Proms in the Park concert back in September.

Tomorrow, weather permitting *finger crossed*, i'll be going to an event hosted by my old Scout group. Nice big bonfire [a Guy on top], fireworks, food and drink. It's not the biggest display in the world but i like it. Should be good.

The 5th of November is always a time to lok forward to.

A shame that the 400th anniversary isn't being recognised as it should be but a sign of the times i'm afraid.

Oh and having asked the question you are asking here talkfreelance in the past few years, if i recall Joseph M will be going to a major fireworks display in South London somewhere.

    WARNING

According to weather reports earlier this mrning, we could have showers mero or less nationwide tomorrow , hopefully they have been and gone before dark or it is going to be a damp squid all round. Such a pain when taht happens, not everyone can rearrange.
