It was meant to be a remark of appreciation for the work of a fellow web designer.
Pricy? Not at all.

Welcome to WHT...
It's no reflection on your excellent work. But clients are retail and, quite frankly, everything on WHT seems to go for wholesale.
Just my two cents...

IMHO, talent should be rewarded accordingly. One should not lower their pricing because the audience is supposedly wholesale. That's why web hosting companies that do it the proper way - no templated stuff - have better looking web sites.
But you get what you pay for.

I'm not saying that it should be that way... I'm simply stating that I have noticed that on WHT, templates seem to go for *what I call* "wholesale" prices.
Just stating an observation...

Bear in mind that these aren't templates. These are full scale designs. My quality is also a lot better than most out there doing "templates"...
~CaleecaIS~
P.S. - Thanks for the welcoming! I appreciate it.

You bring up an excellent point...
I have purchased countless "templates" in my time from sites that sell these stock designs. As you suggested in your post, I consider a "template" to be a somewhat simple website design frame that is sold over and over to people for a reasonable price.
These "templates" that I have purchased don't compare to your original, artistic work. In addition, if you purchase a "template" you should expect to, over time, find many clones of your website design.
But here on WHT, it seems that many designers post their work as "templates" and then sell them for say $75.00. But then you might see a thread develop a week later where the purchaser of the "template" is upset because the designer has posted a design with perhaps the same colors and a slightly different look to the design. Good gawd... for $75.00 I hardly think you deserve exclusive rights to a "template," but many people here seem to think differently. I guess my use of the term "template" has been jaded by the use of the term here on WHT.
I don't want to be misunderstood... as timechange stated "you get what you pay for." $400 to $600 for what you are offering is indeed more than fair IMHO.

Re: Incredible Web Design Offers!
We've gotten one email stating that this site was done by the owners of the site (in house) and not by the thread starter. Until it can be verfied that *any* of the posted links are actual work, I suggest you get names and numbers of referals and contact past clients directly to verify the work shown.
Please contact the moderators and the owner of focuslogic.com ASAP.

Interesting.
Sometimes though, former employers can be really cruel to the employees that did the job and eventually left the company, stripping htem of all credit for the work.
It has happened to me, and it has occurred also to an employee of Tom's Hardware recently.
To be on the safe side, ask for PSD files.

Yes, and that is why I don't put myself in a position to judege who is right and who is wrong (as there really isn't a way I'll ever know). All I can say is that we got an email containing a message form the ower of that site and they stated that it was designed in house. Contact the owner of the site in question to get the story, just to be safe.
