Disabling Signatures in Web Hosting Forum

The amount of vulturing in that forum section is completely repulsive. A person will post something, and 10 hosts will post the EXACT same thing, all just to get their signatures into a thread of someone looking foir a host.
I know SigSpam was made against the rules, but there are too many lowclass hosts who do everything in their power to get around it.

Since that is the most common forum section for people to ask for hosting help, why not just disable signatures entirely in that section. Allow WHT members to answer peoples questions for real, and not just troll for customers.

Example- Someone asks for WebHosting referrals. Does more than one person need to say "Use FindAHost at the top"? Once someone says that, and the next 5 people say that and nothing else, it's obvious they are just vultures.

And yes, I am aware that certain hosters will take offense to my posting this. Just remember, if you are doing it, then you have nothing to lose by it. If you're offended, then maybe the truth hits too close to home.

Been discussed multiple times, I don't think its going to happen. Not having signatures is a real loss to the community (there was another thread about this). Besides, whats to keep somebody from clicking a hosts "website" button? Not as glamorous but it still does the trick. Disabling signatures is not the answer.

Not a great idea. A lot of people here don't do what you mentioned, some do. Either way taking away signatures isn't a great idea, because well...lol Im not sure how to explain it but WHT Signatures are just part of the WHT nature. If you need a host, simply browse the forums and look at everyones signatures, etc. Plus it adds a little more color, which I like.

Why ruin it for everyone if just a few abuse it? It's against the rules anyways.

Well with everyone complaining about sigs being posted here and there, just disable all sigs for all I care.
