question # 1)
what is subdomain
let say i have got 4 subdomains it means that if i have a site like
roboxooo.com
and my sudomian are
roboxooo.com/a
oboxooo.com/b
roboxooo.com/c
roboxooo.com/d
then i can host only four pages or so
or what i think or what up till now i understand is that subdomains are like secondarey sites like
if i want to host four sites about
games
computing
engineering
entertainment
then i can host every one of this in the different subdomai and the main domain can be
a type of my portal ? Am i right ?

question # 2)
i know ftp acounts are used to upoad data
but what if i have got 1 ftp account or 5 ftp accounts ?whts the difference ?

question # 3)
"the content of this site is copy righted "
is it just a conventional sentnece or there is a total legal procedure in copyrighting a web site content


and now i just want to say if u urself confused then dont try to trand\sfer that confusion to me , no hard feeling okz ....

1) Subdomain is actually:

a.roboxooo.com
b.roboxooo.com
c.roboxooo.com
etc...

2) 1 or 5, they're all just ftp accounts. No difference except maybe they have different permissions.

3) When you create something, it's copyrighted to you. So if you someone decides to steal it for their own non-personal use, they can get into trouble for it.

Hello roboxooo,

To explain a little more, question 1:

A subdomain can be use for sub-sections on your web site or actually for a whole new site. It means you can have a subdomain to be called business.mydomain.com and have it redirected to a folder where you have a web site about business.

If you have 4 subdomains it means you can have 4 of those names and redirect them to whatever place on your hosting you want.

Question 2:
Some hosting companies give you more than 1 FTP account because you may have people on your company or co workers to who you assign an FTP account and only give them permissions to upload to a certain folder, you may grant permission to change the files on that folder or only to upload.

Also you can create an FTP account to customers so they can upload large files there instead of sending them by email.

Question 3:
You do not have to do any legal registration in order to make your web site copyrighted, basically if the design was made by you and the content also, you can give permission or not for people to copy the content and design. If you copyright the content means that no one should duplicate your web site or copy parts of it unless you give them permission to do so.

Question 4:
If you have 200 emails is great! you may give email accounts to your friends, create accounts for each of your companies departments, for example sales@mydomain.com, or Support@mydomain.com.

For a person just starting, the first 2 plans would seem to be fine. Ites like the Page Builder would seem helpful for someone just starting out, as well as the ability to upgrade as needed.



BTW, making spam posts to get forum permissions can result in bad things happening to your account. Anyone who wanted to can get the address the same way I did.

3. what is domain registration and hosting ?plz explain i am very confused about it.if i select ay package from any site and i have no domain name already then do i have to pay buying the domain name and the hosting pacakage seperatley

1) SQL- Database for advanced website usage. Usually it requires one database per script.
2) Shopping Cart- A script designed to allow you to easily incorporate sales into your website.
2) Domain Registration is just that. You will need a domain unless the hoster provides subdomains for hosting. Hosting is your actual account on a server where your website will be located. You may buy both at the same time with some hosts.
4) Reselling is just that. You buy hosting through a company, and in turn, sell it to others. I woudl HIGHLY suggest you not get into reselling, since your basic knowledge is not enough. It is reselling of hosting, not of other items. You can make a sales site using just a basic web hosting site.

That is a domain name only. You would also have to either find a free hosting company, or pay for hosting, to actually put up a website.

but the site has just google adsense .
isnt it against the google policy to make pages
which are solely dedicatd to advertisements ........
