Setting up API for my website?

Hi all,

I have a little situation on my hands.

I purchased some reseller hosting and made a basic website hoping to start a small hosting company.

Anyway, I have everything under control except for one thing, I need to have a form on my website so people can sign up directly from my site.

Can someone please help me, It will be highly appreciated.

Regards
David

There are a ton of different billing solutions to choose from, a search will give you a huge amount of information.

Off the top of my head:

Whois.cart : http://www.whoiscart.net
ModernBill : Http://www.modernbill.com
WHM AutoPilot : http://www.whmautopilot.com/
Client Exec : http://www.clientexec.com/newsite/wordpress/
LPanel : http://lpanel.com/

and I'm sure there is quite a few more that I have missed.

You're welcome

The only free one I know of off the top of my head is phpCoin, but I have heard quite a few bad things about it.

Link: http://www.phpcoin.com/

Remember that the billing solution is quite possibly the most important part of your business, do your research and if you need to skimp anywhere, do it somewhere other than the billing system.

What control panel are you using? Some control panels already have this built into them.

Do you intend to make this a real business, where you're accepting money from people, or will this just be a hobby with free accounts for your friends?

Well, as bqinternet was hinting at, if you are going to be doing this for businesses then you will want a proper billing solution (and I have yet to find a free one). Have you ever had a billing problem with somebody? Phone company, cable, internet, charged too much at the local McDonalds, etc... it's definatley not fun.

I agree with IntegraHost, clientexec is great. Billing is the one thing I would never look for a free solution.

Thanks, will have a look

I just want something cheap for now, I will upgrade later when I can justify the cost from my customer base.

ClientExec is nice, probably one of the better ones unless you feel like spending a bit more on ModernBill.

As above, I'd steer from a free billing solution unless you're offering free hosting accounts, in which case it really would not matter as much. When it comes to your business, whether you're a reseller or leasing dedicated servers/colocating, your image is everything.

While the average user may not look at the billing solution too closely, businesses may.

I believe they both offer automatic account creation on both an admin (root) and reseller level.
