Have to say bye bye

Over the years as a plain speaker I have made a few contacts/friends and dare I say it a few enemies on this forum

My health has taken a downslide over the past year, 2 heart attacks, one op and waiting for another means an end of the road for me and hosting.

I started off in 1993 and still have clients from this era, unlike some on here I have never succumbed to the "cheap route" and preferred to offer quality services at a price and be very selective in customer base. Sadly it has become impossible to continue and arrangements have been made for a quality organisation to take over the servicing of my client base. For the time being I will continue to provide domain portfolio management services just to keep my hand in.

I would like to leave and wish everyone of you a fruitful and positive future within the industry, I intend to pop in now and again to see what is happening.

On statistic you may be interested in, yesterday I switched off a server that had been installed in 1994 - it was a 486 based server with a 1Gb drive and a whopping 64Mb of memory ( it was upgarded a couple of years ago from 32Mb) - it was until yesterday still running 50 sites

Well, we sure as hell greet more people in than we say our partings, but

Good luck with the rest of your life, I hope you enjoy it.

Have fun with your time away.

Very sorry to hear of your failing health.

You are making a wise decision lessening your load by letting go of the business, although that must have been a difficult thing to do.

All the best in the future with your health.

Vito
