Dual Xeon 2.8GHZ EMT64 or Dual Opteron 246??
I know that here is very much xeon vs opteron posts and this is one new but I need to know what you thinking in this case, both 64 bit CPU`s and both from liquidweb with same price, what is better?
I`ll use this server for very much sites, some use only html pages, some use only php, some php+mysql, some perl/cgi, some with very much traffic some only few hits, etc etc, all in one
Thanks.

The Opteron has slightly more power, but it is pretty much a toss up. Are you planning on running a 64-bit OS on these? 32-bit OS is somewhat more stable for some programs than the 64-bit one, but apparently, the Opteron in 64-bit mode is better for heavy database operations.
