Outlook Express Memory Issue - Any recommended Alternatives?

Hi,

Lately it seems like after storing few thousand emails in the deleted folders of Outlook Express, sometimes after a few days of leaving it on, I get errors such as

Outlook Express There is not enough memory when opening or refreshing emails etc.. when clearly theres more than enough memory on the laptop..very bizarre

I'm looking for fix but couldnt find anything related to my specific problem for a solution. Is there any alternatives that you guys would recommend that's easy to use/configure as OE and allows you to store deleted emails? (organized = better too)

Thank you!

[PS: hmm my 4500th post ]

I switched from Outlook Express to Mozilla Thunderbird (I'm using the beta 1.5 I think). I'm never looking back Thunderbird is awesome, great features, reliable, secure, spam filters you name it.

I'm with Vigor.

Thunderbird is my choice of email client at the moment.

I wouldn't be surprised that OE barfed with a few thousand emails. That's a LOT of stored email it has to go through and load.

Not sure if Thunderbird or Opera's mail client will fare any better in that instance, but can't hurt to try at this point.

I have about 20,000 emails stored in my Opera mail client, and it seems to have no problem calling up a folder with 10,000 at a time. I've been using M2 for a little more than two years. You can't beat it, and it's conveniently located within the Opera browser itself, so one application handles all of your online needs.

Plus, the quick reply feature is very nice

Sure thing

If you haven't created an Opera session yet, now's a perfect time. Create a session that includes your most visited sites and a tab for your email. When you load up the browser, you'll get all the sites you like to visit and your email waiting for you.
