Question

[illustrator] How to merge layers into 1 layer?

Ok I'm trying to merge 2 layers like in Photoshop 2 layers merge into 1 layer. But in Illustrator it just groups the 2 layers. How do I merge them into 1 layer like Photoshop?

Vectors are geomatric lines and shapes, you can not merge them like photoshop, you can marge two or more shapes using "window ---> pathfinder ---> merge" tool.
