When looking for a web host, do not base the majority of your decision on the price. Look for

    * How long they have been in business
    * What support options they offer, and if they actually make good on their offer
    * Whether or not they have a money back guarantee
    * Get to know who you are doing business with, talk with them and get an idea of how you will be treated as a customer.
    * Make sure their prices aren't unreasonable (ie. 20Gb space for $9.95/month)

These are just a few things to look for. hope this helps.

Quality matters more for me, and prices matter for hosters, thats where the co-ordination gets lost.
:Ya how long in business matters , but some often they also bite.
:money back offer .. somewhat lightly matters, it shows he is a new host
rice does matter if he is providing SATA, I hate *ATA on servers

The higher price usually means better service.

NOT ALWAYS, however extremely low prices (ex: $1 hosting) mostly means a poor service.

This doesn't really go along with the "premium host" in your title. Not at all... or maybe we have different definitions and expectations for "premium".

$5 for 50Gb bandwidth is very cheap!

A premium host (like Dotable) would charge $54.95 for 40 Gb of bandwidth.

That's premium host in my opinion!

$5 is how much I spend in coffee every day...
