BuyMyTemplate.com

Well i bought this domain after i had www.template-xchange.com

Ive had template-xchange.com for a long time i think 1 year but i cant remember. The idea was a site where designers could sell and buyers could buy templates. But i kind of realised the name itself was letting it down so i bought www.buymytemplate.com.

Recently it seems a couple of similar sites have sprung up grabid and freelancelabel. That put me off at first but im more determined now. Currently i need some investment (not neccesirly money). Im saving up as much as i can to market the website well, to get the site to work im going to have to get a lot of buyers in as well.

As im saving up for a lot of marketing i need some investment on the development side.

I am in need of someone who is good with php and mysql. When the site starts generating some income i will pay you some money, but it is ofcourse an investment on your side.

I will also need some hosting (although i probably will be able to cover this myself). I would need about 5gb of space to cover uploads e.t.c and a lot of bandwidth 15gb or something. A link to your hosts website will be put up on the site so you should get some traffic.

I believe the site will work because it has a good domain name and because i will market it well.

I dont have the time to help, but I can offer you this advise:

Offer something the other sites dont, and market it for what the customer or potential seller gets.

Advertise your unique selling point (USP). NOT as a feature but a BENEFIT.

IE: "Sell your templates" is a feature - "Make extra money selling old designs" is a benefit.

Im no marketing expert but just thought those may be able to help.
