    How to view large mysql databases

    I have a database thats 118 mb and when i open it my computer goes very slow and i cant view it so is their a program i can use or something?

    I'm not quite sure why you need to view it all? Simply export the table you need to modify, then change it and reupload it. Probably a lot better then the way you're attempting.

    You might need to implement the paging method to see your records. Search on your favourite search engine about mysql paging.

    im not sure whats in the sql file thats why i want to see it.

    Ultraedit 32 will enable you to view this file, as it has this fine feature:
    Disk based text editing - supports files in excess of 4GB, minimum RAM used even for multi-megabyte files. (www.ultraedit.com)

    I think you get a 30 day trial with the full version anyway.
    It's well worth the price if you do a lot text editing.
