    [statscheck] Stats/Server Overload on server

    Hiya
Server been sending me lots of love letters lately
    please help withn reply

IMPORTANT: Do not ignore this email.
This is cPanel stats runner on server.***********!
While processing the log files for user cincylaw, the cpu has been
maxed out for more than a 6 hour period. The current load/uptime line on the server at the time of
    this email is
    07:52:38 up 11 days, 15:22, 0 users, load average: 4.05, 4.13, 4.17
You should check the server to see why the load is so high and take
steps to lower the load. If you want stats to continue to run even with a high load; Edit
/var/cpanel/cpanel.config and change extracpus to a number larger then 0 (run
/usr/local/cpanel/startup afterwards to pickup the changes).

Like it says, check to see why the load is so high. Restart the services to see if it frees up.

Figure out what's causing the load, tools like: top, sar, mpstat... to determine the root of the problem

    Get Free Reseller Accounts
    Maybe that's why ?

if you are running MySQL most likely the load is coming from slow queries, load over 3-4 usually is caused by MySQL or other db daemons

Try the top command and find whats the actual cause.

If it is recurring on the same time everyday, it might be the backing up process...check it out

    You can also try

    Edit
/var/cpanel/cpanel.config and change extracpus to a number larger then 0 (run
/usr/local/cpanel/startup afterwards to pickup the changes).

increasing extracpus will reduce the load by averaging and the weblogs will run properly.
