    how can increase the amount on /tmp

    dual drive sata 16mb cache 300 gigs 7200

    if you have available unpartitioned space, resize2fs will do this for you, else you can mount a loop device for /tmp like so:

    TMP_SIZE_MEGS=1024 # ~ 1 GIG
    dd if=/dev/zero of=/tmp.fs bs=1k count=$((TMP_SIZE_MEGS*1024))
    mkfs -t ext3 /tmp.fs

    then add a line like this to /etc/fstab, removing your old one,

    /tmp.fs /tmp ext3 loop,noatime,nodiratime,noexec,nodev 0 0
