how to setup shared nameservers?

Hi,

A friend wishes to share my nameservers, this is ok by me as long as I can do it securely..

What technology is available to allow this, without giving him root access to the actual machine?

I know it's easily done with cpanel, but he's hoping not to use cpanel, rather some other control panel??

Rgds,
Dan

if you have Cpanel, no you cant use any other control panel

is your friend tying to use your server as a primary DNS ?

why dont you give him a WHM and with DNS Editing on it, dont worrry he can only edit the domain he add.
