MySQL 4.x.x with Red Hat Enterprise

I'm currently running Red Hat Enterprise 3. if I wanted to upgrade to MySQL 4.x.x, will there be any compatibility issue?

do i have to upgrade my Red Hat Enterprise 3 version to Enterprise 4 before i can use MySQL 4 or i can just keep what i have.

Appreciate any feedback.

I think the bigger question is what control panel you are using if any?

MySQL 4.x.x runs fine on RHE3, but you can have other compatibility issues.

I'm not using any control panel even though i do have the option to use control panel Webmin or Plesk

www.atomicrocketturtle.com He has RPM's and a yum repository. His RPM's are compatible with both Plesk and Webmin.
