Colocation + leased servers by same service.
I only know HE.NET which is the service that provides colocation and leased servers also to colocate at their racks.
Their 1 time cost per dual xeon servers are about $3-4K which is very good however their colocation is too expensive for me [20 Mbps for $1400 a month/$70 per 1Mbps above ]
I am curious if any reliable service out there providing same service :
Need leased server + colocation for them .
Thanks for your suggestions.

Are you looking to colo in a specific area?
The HE pricing seems a bit high, was that a direct quote or reseller?

That's essentially what dedicated servers are, unless I'm missing something.. Why do you specifically need to lease a server and colocate it? Do you already have your own systems that you need to connect it to? If that's the c ase, I don't see why anyone wouldn't do it, with certain stiplulations, eg, you can't do anything with the hardware and what not.

he.net charges quite a bit if you're only going on a low committ with them. They do this to encourage sales through their resellers (so the resellers can handle the smaller clients).
You could go through a reseller like EGI hosting or any of the others they have

please, i just want to learn the services that are with similar offers with HE.NET [ and it must with HE.NET equals so i gave that example, not like the services that have doubt about their legitimates ] only more cheaper, none of the posts here related with that especailly the offered service
I am curious if equinix offers some kind of thing like HE.NET offers?
Thanks

Equinix is a carrier nuetral datacenter. If you use them as a service provider, they will be providing rackspace, climate control, and managed power. From there, you need to get a cross connection from any of the bandwidth providers in their facility and build your network. They do not offer bandwidth, nor dedicated servers so to answer your question, no they do not offer what he.net does in this case.

That is a place to purchase servers, not bandwidth. Is that what you had in mind?

Pretty much all the colo or dedicated companies you see recommended in this forum can provide the same or better services as HE.NET. HE is popular due to low pricing on bandwidth with high commitments like 100Mbit+.
As far as recommendations you're not giving much to go on other than asking for colocation and $1400 was too high, plus you say you want to lease servers?
Unless you want to purchase/lease from a company like Dell, then leasing for a monthly fee you're asking for dedicated servers, or dedicated servers with the option to locate them in a specific rack similiar to EV1's private rack service.
You just need to provide more info on the services and requirements you have.

James - It would appear that the thread starter is looking for "lease-to-own" servers that include the co-location. The difference between this and dedicated servers is quite vast. The main one being, that the client will eventually own the equipment outright.
sshepherd - How many servers are you looking for and of what quality?

Have you thought of leasing from Dell or Hp and just finding a colocation provider at your taste?

Equinix doesn't sell bandwidth, they do have a product call Equinix Direct where you could buy bw from their other seller thru their system though.
