ThePCForum.com - PC help forum PR2

http://www.thepcforum.com

Well, I am selling my baby. I am a PC geek and have been trying to get this site going, but alas I don't have the time to get it properly started.

To be honest, the forum is pretty much silent the past couple months. Last month the uniques dropped below 200 for the first time this year (194 uniques). Anyways, the domain is a PR2 and the /forum/ is a PR1 (used to be a PR4). Get a little bit of traffic from search engines. This month it's been mostly Yahoo, people searching for reviews of the two product reviews I have posted.

If you want detailed stats I can PM you the URL to them, but I do not want to post them publicly. There is no revenue because my AdSense account was taken from me, thanks to my friend but that's another story. I did have Kanoodle on there and it got a click here and there, so if AdSense was put up it may get some clicks.

Google has 17,500 pages of the forum indexed, Yahoo looks like 514 index pages, MSN has 253 indexed pages.

vBulletin license does not come with the forum, as it is leased and running out one day this month.

The skin is a free skin created by a German designer from vbdesigns.de. I paid about $20 for the .psd of the skin for customizations, which I will include in the sale. Also the Latest PC news is run by a RSS script written in Perl by me, which runs via crontab in unix. You can have this if you want it. It just manually adds the news entries into the database.

I dont have a buy it now or a starting bid. I have no idea what kind of price I am looking for either. If I see an offer I think is worth it, I will jump on it. Any questions please post here or PM me.

Notice to Consumers
Thread Summary Please be aware that every offer has limits beyond what is displayed in the thread. You should visit the site advertising and read any Terms of Service or Acceptable Use Policy they have in place. If you can't find answers on how they measure what you're purchasing, ask. If the offer or request doesn't regard some type of hosting, you still need to research beyond what’s printed in the ad.
  • Research any provider to know what limits are in place, especially with any offer concerning disk space and/or bandwidth. These are generally defined in the TOS or AUP.
  • Read provider reviews. If you find no reviews, create a thread and ask for others' first-hand experience with the provider.
  • If you're unsure on the exact details of an offer - ask. Simply respond to this thread and ask the provider for clarification.

We'll i'll start the bidding at $30

My reasoning behind this is as you've said the site is losing its popularity and its making no income. Though if you want to then I will offer $50 to BIN.

Regards

It is only making no income because I dont have Adsense. I'm sure it would make some income if Adsense was on there or if I decided to pursue selling advertising.

Thanks for the bid.

No problem

- I can understand why you would feel it a low bid, its just hard for me to personally warrant a bid based on the potential to get an income

But its definately a nice site and im sure you'll have no problems in getting some higher bids.

Could you please post a screen shot of the traffic stats?

Are we able to keep the domain on the current hosting package?
How much is the current hosting pack?

If we have to move it then what are the script specifications? (in particular would like to know if this would run on a non-cPanel host)

When does the bidding end?

I will PM you a link to my Awstats.

The site is currently hosted on my dedicated server running FreeBSD with no cPanel, so it will run without it.

Bidding will end if I am satisfied with an offer. Like I said, if I recieve an offer that I like then I will sell.
