My server

Ok... I have a server here at my house that I've been using. I'm starting school and I'm too busy to manage it any more, so I plan on leasing one from Layered Tech. The only thing is, I will have a perfectly good server at my house, not being used. This is what I want to do:

Format the hard drive, reinstall Centos, Plesk Reloaded, everything else, and start it from scratch. Then, I can find someone to lease a dedicated server from me.

In my situation, the only way I can think of leasing it out, is by posting an auction on eBay, or asking people I know.

Since I barely have any time, I wont actually be able to manage it and keep updating software. Whoever leases it will have to maintain software by theirself. I have no form of data backup on the server. I have a UPS that will keep the server up if ever there is a hiccup in the electricity over here.

What I need to know, is how much I should ask for, when trying to sell this.

These are the stats:

2.2 GHz Processor
120 GB HDD
Centos 3.4
512 MB RAM
Plesk 30 Domain Liscence

My ISP is Road Runer, and I have their business class connection, which provides me with 512 Kbps upload speed, and 5 Mbps download speed.

Please leave feedback and let me know what you suggest I do. This is not an advertisement and I'm not trying to spam.

Here's my suggestion. Ditch the server or use it for something. Don't have a customer suffer from your using your cable ISP. Servers belong in datacenters and not at home connected to your cable modem.

Use it for a gameserver, and run a test one online in something like CSS or UT 2004 or anything else popular.

After a clan or two tries it out and sees that they like it try to sell it.

But then again, you may make the customer suffer. I would use it for a personal gameserver.

512kbps upload wont cut it for proper usage... Use the server as you have been, or ditch it.

Don't try and lease the server you're just being silly, 512K upload will no way cut it.

If you really want some cash stick the server on eBay...

Clans won't go for it, since all servers on cable/dsl connections are banned from ladders.
IE: Clans won't be able to use it for matching, so scratch that idea.

Sell it on ebay, or go colocate it. You could colocate it and not have to worry about getting one from layeredtech.
