Question

Pre-Order Fraud Check/Screening Script?

Does anyone have a good pre-order fraud script they would be willing to share which can be run on the input gathered from the customer BEFORE processing customers to the actual order links? (A script that can weed out/disallow freemail addy's, checks IP's, verifies addresses, phone numbers to make sure they match what the customer inputs for the locations associated with the IP's, addresses, phone numbers, etc.)

Thanks, TheFish. I actually subscribed to that thread some time ago. Something must have gone amiss, as there are some newer posts I hadn't seen. So I've subscribed again.

I was just hoping some others who have good scripts in place might offer same. But at least that thread provides a fraudchecker script.

I haven't made my site public yet but I will use the fraudchecker to check on my orders. I will approve each order manually and run an additional lookup onto the data like hostname and IP to minimize fraud.

Are you going to use a fully automated process?

No, I don't plan on going fully automated since it doesn't give you the options manually processing an order does re fraud scrubbing.

I'm in the process of setting up SSL to gather the order information, and plan to check the provided info against logged IP, domain name, country of origin, address, phone numbers, etc. before going forward with the order.
