Does the poweredge 1425 work with ECC non-Reg/Unbuffered ddr2 ram? Anyone tried it out?

Also, does it work with DDR2-400 only mem or also 533mhz ram?

According to Dell it might work, they actually pointed me to intel's website since Dell use intel motherboards..

Most Dell servers I have upgraded memory in require ECC Reg.


Crucial.com is usually a great site to find out what kind of memory required for a specific system. After I find out what required specs are I go pick it up off of newegg

I'm guessing on this, but since the MB only supports DD2-400 the faster DDR2 RAM should automaticly slow itself down to the fastest speed the MB can handle..
