Quote:
MEIN WEBSERVER offers you a RESELLER PACKAGE with UNLIMITED STORAGE - UNLIMITED BANDWIDTH - UNLIMITED DOMAINS - UNLIMITED USERS.
We are aware that hardware-ressources are always limited but we will keep upgrading hardware for your account as long as the TOS is respected (no warez-sites etc.). You can even offer unlimited ressources to all your customers - you will never again have to think about upgrading your package!

49.95 $/month

Alright, what does everyone think about this. Personally, I think it is a joke. You cannot keep upgrading, upgrading, and upgrading for only $49.95/month. I am not looking for hosting, I am a provider but what do you think of the outrageous things people claim?

I've seen worse. In my market I compete daily with unlimited everything for $20 a year

It's certainly funny that people actually believe them though. Funny indeed.

Isnt that the truth!?
Really though to the OP: You wonder why we see so many problems nowdays with companies...offers like that surely contribute to all the problems out there
I hold it right up there in the same category as we saw years ago on ones that mainly just offered unlimited bandwidth, only now we see that plus unlimted domains on reseller accounts.

Martie,

Unlimited domains are fine. The reason behind this is you can add unlimited domains technically; however, space and bandwidth are still restricting you. On this plan, you have no restrictions. I could run a $1,000,000.00 a year hosting company off of this plan for $49.95. Far feteched? lol

You can build a profitable business model with recurring payments of $50/mo but it's risky business unless you put some other limitations on it, like limit the amount of disk space and data transfer per website. They do not and think they can pyramid it. Which means their either crazy or think that the plan will be so attractive that they'll get 1000 takers over night.... NOT.

You may not get rish, but there are ways to make a good profit from $10/yr. If you had for example 5000 websites at $10/yr, that would bring in $50,000/yr. A good dedicated server with support will only cost you at most $15,000/yr. So you would be profitable provided you didn't need more than 1 or 2 servers to do it. That means limiting disk space and data transfer, or overselling on the risk that most customers won't use it. Which seems to be the way things work these days.

Who in the world would put 5000 domains or web sites on a server....

Why not just place a few more like 10,000 per server...

Then you can make 100,000.00

Each one of those domains require space even if they aren't using the package. For instance Apache needs its conf file updated with every new domain. Therefore requiring hard drive space

jmweb,

Yes, it might require space; however, they are limited to the number of domains they can setup via each package. You can not set up a million domains on a cPanel package with a 100 mb of spce. The space will restrict the domains.

Sorry there was some confusion there. Your initial posts were about unlimited domains and has since switched to limited domains.

Sadly, there are many companies offering the exact same deal for $19.95.

Example : Enter Ebay and Type Reseller Hosting.
You'll find many companies listed under that search.

I dont know if this affects the competition, many buyers may not trust this type of deal. But then again, who knows.
