I am dealing with a problem here. The 1U has enough space for 3HDs but only 2 SCSI are installed.

I need to increase the HD space, and now I have 2 options
1 put an extra HD in. then I have two options
A move right HD up and put the extra HD at the current right HD position
B replace CD-rom with an HD after OS install using CD-rom.
2 Replace 1 18g SCSI with 200g+ IDE
Here are my questions:
1 How do I remove SCSI from the seat: the SCSI is sitting on some black plastic. I don't know how to move the seat or remove SCSI from the seat
2 If I have one IDE and one SCSI, should I put /var and /usr on SCSI and /home on IDE? Will IDE sit well on SCSI seat?
