What network does Xlhost use? I am looking to get a dedicated server to run counter-strike servers for personal use and I want to make sure that the network is excellent for gaming as to ensure low pings and no lag. Also, anyone run a counter-strike server that can post the ip so I can play on the server and see what its like?

I'm not a big fan of XLHost for gaming. I get better pings to many Chicago companies even though XLHost is about 250 miles closer to me geographically.

Stay away from XLhost.. they don't have night and weekend staff on site.. and charges $50 if you called them and needed some to go reboot your server..

You've said this a few times... your point is taken.

To the OP: I would personally choose a location in NYC/Chicago/Atlanta/Texas rather than Ohio. I live in Ohio, and I know for sure (by my traceroute's) that I go to a level3 point in chicago before going to speakeasy. Columbus isn't exactly a fiber hub.
