Site5 is dropping the ball
I've been following the server loads from Site5Status Server monitor at http://www.nullnet.net/site5status/.
Skylla, Locus and others have the same problem. I am not using 1/10 of my bandwidth or disk space and the server load is above 4.00 most of the time. Servers spikes everyday going as high as 17.00 and services like apache fails.
I thought Site5 was different. I used to be a Site5 enthusiast on WHT. You can read several reviews about Site5 written by me.
I will keep monitoring my sites but I will start to look for options elsewhere.
After opening a ticket support told me it was a spike. Then I replied showing the average 15 minutes load was above 7.00. A few minutes after they told me about the "large mail queue" but 2 days after the incident loads are high most of the time.
Bottom line: Site5 is dropping the ball, is almost losing a client (maybe more).
You can see the thread on their forums:
http://forums.site5.com/showthread.php?t=3908
It's obvious that management doesn't care about anything but getting more accounts and becoming the biggest hosting company in the business.
After 6 months hosting with Site5 they are not that good actually and it seems like (take a look at Site5 forums) more customers feel that way.
Too bad.

Lot of people here at WHT have high hopes on them. Sad if what you say is true.

You have the reply from the Chief Operating Officer of Site5 to your forum thread there. Did you check that?

Hi,
The Chief Operating Officer at Site5 did reply to your post, and a previous post also asked you if you wanted to be quickly moved to another server, maybe you should take that offer and give it another try. Even though the server loads seems to be a bit high on some servers, everything seems to be up and running, so hopefully you'll get your issues resolved. Good luck.

I have read that and replied short after. I was told to wait for 30-45 minutes but the server is spiking for weeks.
I don't want to leave Site5, I believe they can do better than that. Before posting here, I have sent several messages to support, posted several threads on the community forums and even tried to contact management with no success.

If they won't look into the problem on locus why should I think it will be better on another server? Locus was always fast until a month or so ago. If I get on another server that's working great now, it may have problems later on. I would much rather see them get Locus straightened out.

I personally would not wait weeks for a solution, especially if you're a reseller. If I ever had more than 1-2 days problems in a row with a host, I'd find a new one. Just my 2 cents.

You think they would move the problem sites off the server, if they dont the problem will never go away.

I'm suprised to see this, with all the hype given around superhosting.

At the moment
http://www.nullnet.net/site5status/ this url does not load for me.
Anyone else experiencing this? I do not think that is hosted at site5.

It loads fine here. The site is not officially supported by Site5.

I only see a couple servers with really high load. If these are customer servers and not production servers for Site5, I don't see the big issue. Somebody is either overloading their server with users or somebody forkbombed it. It looks like bad administration.

Those are shared/reseller accounts servers. Melia just went thru the roof with a server load of 120.00.
I don't know what is going on but I am getting very worried!
